Junior Kindergarten for children turning 5 by September 30. (Children who turn 5 by December 31 may enroll if there is space available and both teachers and parents believe a child is developmentally ready for a longer day and more challenging program.) The JK class meets Monday - Friday 9-1PM. Children bring a bag lunch. For more information about JK and how this program differs from Pre-K, click on the link below.

Classes enjoy a weekly storytime in the library based on their class schedule. We also have books on child development and parenting that are available to our families. Starting in October, at 9:15 on Wednesdays, Mrs. Mulhern holds a Storytime for Little Ones, which is a great time for younger siblings or Tuesday/Thursday students to visit the library. Afterwards, families are then invited to join us for Chapel at 9:30.
Lunch Bunch
Children enrolled in our three year-old program who are potty trained and in our four year-old program may stay for our lunch bunch program from 12PM-1PM. Students bring a bag lunch to eat outside (weather permitting) and play on the playground. The cost is $12/hour.
Enrichment Classes
A variety of enrichment classes are offered for older children (in Fours classes and JK). These classes are taught by St. Aidan's teachers on our campus and are a fun and popular way to "extend" your child's day. . Enrichment classes take place during the second hour of Extended Day (1-2pm) for an additional fee. Cost is based on the class offered.
In the summer of 2023 we will offer two 4-day session of outdoor camp right after the school year ends for four year-olds and older. Campers must be currently enrolled at St. Aidan's to participate and must turn 4 prior to the start of camp and be fully potty trained. Camp is 9:30am -1PM each day. We stay outdoors the entire time. Children bring their own lunch and water bottle. Activities might include building and painting giant cardboard boxes, a sensory walk through bins of shaving cream and rice, and painting on sheets with spray bottles of watercolor paint. In other words, lots MORE Music, Movement, and Mess!

MUSIC & MOVEMENT
On Mondays, classes attend a music program led by music teacher Amy Schildge. At Halloween, we celebrate by having a costume parade and Songfest. Music is also incorporated during class time by each teacher and through our Movement program and Chapel.
Our Movement and Brain Gym program is led by Lisa Shannon. Each month Mrs. Shannon introduces a new curriculum which the classes continue with each week.
CHAPEL
On Wednesdays at 9:30 the school gathers in the St. Aidan's Chapel to join Reverend Laura Cochran or the Children's Minister, Rebecca Troutman. Children sing songs and listen to a short Bible lesson. Families, including younger siblings, grandparents, and caregivers, are always invited to attend chapel. Each Wednesday the school sings Happy Birthday to children celebrating a birthday during that week.
